Inkover

Privacy policy

Inkover is a Safari extension for iPad that lets you draw on web pages with Apple Pencil. This policy describes what it does with your data, which is nothing.

Effective 6 September 2026.

What Inkover stores

The strokes you draw are stored on your iPad, in the storage Safari provides to the extension, keyed by the address of the page they were drawn on. Your tool, colours, widths and toolbar position are stored the same way.

Clearing a page deletes its ink. Deleting the app deletes everything. Nothing is backed up by Inkover itself; your iPad’s own backup may include it like any other app data.

What Inkover sends

Nothing. Inkover makes no network requests. It has no account, no sync, no server, no analytics and no crash reporting of its own. It contains no third-party code and loads nothing from the internet.

What Inkover can see

To draw on a page, the extension runs on every website you allow it on. It reads the position and text of page elements so that ink can stay attached to them when the page changes. That information stays on the device, is used for nothing else, and is not stored beyond the short text fingerprint kept with each stroke so the stroke can find its place again.

Inkover does not read passwords, form contents, cookies or anything you type. It never modifies a page beyond drawing its own overlay.

Permissions

Inkover asks Safari for access to all websites so that it works on any page without a prompt each time. You can limit it to specific sites in Settings under Apps, Safari, Extensions. It uses Safari’s extension storage for ink and settings, and nothing else.

App Store disclosure

On the App Store, Inkover’s privacy label is Data Not Collected. No data is collected, linked to you, or used to track you, and there is no advertising.

Children

Inkover collects no information from anyone, including children.
